As a science teacher, it is my great pleasure to help students develop an awareness and comprehension of the world around them through engaging activities that require critical thinking.  Through experimentation students will learn how to write hypotheses, collect and analyze data, and relate findings.  Students will also learn to work in groups, follow instructions, problem solve and, predict and compare theories.  I believe that students that are engaged in science will not only enjoy the learning process more but will also not give up when a challenge arises.  I also believe students take pride in their accomplishments and have a higher academic success rate when they are engaged in the classroom.

It is my goal to help students develop lifelong learning skills that emphasize critical thinking and to inspire students to ask questions about the world around them.
